Muse. began shortly after I moved to the midwest from Baltimore. Possessing a love of writing since grade school, I used my talents to temporarily make ends meet while searching for a job in my new neighborhood. After finding a job in alternative health education, I put my freelance writing aside. Three years later, having learned a tremendous amount about health and healing, I find myself working in a typical 9-5 job, learning the ins and outs of the editing and proofreading industry, desperate to turn my freelance writing into a full-time gig.

I was born and raised just outside of Baltimore, Maryland and I still have a passion for all things mid-Atlantic:  the O's and the Ravens, steamed crabs, and summers down the ocean.  I have assimilated fairly well to the midwest though, and with frequent visits home each year, I plan to stay north of the Windy City.  I began writing in second grade, and after turning in my first short story to my elementary school's librarian, I was asked to join a special writing group and enter a collaborated story into a county-wide contest.  Growing up, I was frequently encouraged to pursue writing, but I chose to study public relations and childcare instead of writing.  I love to create and I love to speak, and I have found that writing is the safest way for me to do both. When writing, I am able to get my thoughts out, give voice to my beliefs and opinions, and revise them until they are concise and elegant enough to hold audience attention. 

I believe my services are unique because I am just as willing to share my own opinions and expertise through my writing, as I am to learn new things and complete research, or take my client's thoughts and desires and put them into a marketable format.  It can be tough choosing the writer or designer that is perfect for your specific needs. By understanding their goals, and knowing they have a passion for their work, it can help to narrow down the abundant choices and lead you to making the right decision.
